[Summer of Color.... week 6...]

Hard to believe that this is the final week

in the challenge...

Thank you SO much Kristin for taking us on

a fabulous color journey <3...

The colors for this week were...

orange + orange + blue...

and I have to admit that along the way

I found a new affection

for the color orange...

true... I use it as a flesh color...

but rarely in its deeper form...

and now we seem to have become friends...

I certainly plan to use it more...

[Summer of Color... week five...]

Oh I loved this weeks colors

in the 'Summer of Color' challenge...

Green + Green + Pink...

Green is a favorite for me...

and Pink isn't far behind...

so it made it very enjoyable

to complete an art journal page...

I think the girl in my painting

was feeling the bliss of it all as well :)

I do love drawing girls...

 

and it would seem that is what

 

my art journal is being filled with at the moment..

 

they just keep popping onto page after page...

 

perhaps it is just the time alone with my journal...

 

 but in truth...

they make me happy :)

 

 I was super excited to see too...

 that the lovely Kristin's

Summer of Color 5 is set to begin...

I've participated a couple of times before

and am really looking forward to doing so again...

There hasn't been

 

too much time

 

for play this week...

 

but happily

 

 my art journal and I managed 

a little time together :)

is fast filling up with

little characters

and creatures....

 emerging from backgrounds...

and with scribbles and scratches

and a variety of girls...

I'm never sure who will show up :)

[Days like Today]

Rain drops tap at my window...

the cool breeze a welcome relief

after a long... hot and humid summer...

there is nowhere I need go today...

nothing I 'need' to do...

just a blissful day

 with my art supplies...

and my journal...

little characters showing up

on unfinished pages...

days like today...

these are the days I dream of.. 

and relish...
